Caiman

Caimans are small crocodilians found in Central and South America. They belong to the Alligatoridae family, along with the two living species of alligator. While one species, the black caiman, can grow up to 16 feet, most caimans average around 6 feet long when fully grown.
• Scientific Name: Subfamily Caimaninae, Genus Caiman and Melanosuchus
• Characteristics: This caiman figure represents a younger individual, with its large prominent eyes. It’s full of accurate details including the armor-like scutes on its back, its broad snout, and its tiny pointed teeth.
• Size and Color: : This hand-painted caiman toy measures 5 inches long and 1 ½ inches tall to the tip of its snout.
